So here we are at the beginning of Spring 2021, and after a muddy winter, there's lots of cleanup and repair to do around the place, as well as some updates that we've been waiting to do.
We'd like to introduce two new members of our barnyard community; Primrose the Kunekune piglet, and our as yet unnamed calf.
The Winter snows always look so pristine and clear on a Sunny day, and we've taken some amazing pictures while feeding the horses early in the morning.
18 months ago, our rabbits had babies. As they grew older, we moved them onto the grass in the yard, where they were all very happy. Apart from one black bunny.
So here we are in January, 2021, and with COVID-19 still running rife, our society continues on with lock downs, face masks, physical distancing, and business closures. But despite the chaos, disruption, and disappointments, life on the farm goes on, and we're outlining and planning for the Spring.
A Late Night Hike in Gleneden.
Bright, Beautiful and Snowy! We were out doing some farm chores a few days ago; the sun was out, it was mild, and the recent snow fall looked glorious across the landscape; here are some more photos, following on from our previous ones.
Gleneden Ridge Farm has just had it's second snowfall of the year, and it was a good one! Here it is in pictures and video!
Heading into the Cold
As we said in our previous post, Gleneden Ridge Farm has reached the end of it's 2020 vacation season. We've had lots of high points and the net result is that we've maintained our Airbnb Superhost status, which is great!
